Section I — About the Event and Its Risks

Metronome is a community fitness racing league operated in Bonifacio Global City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The Season consists of six (6) challenging races and one (1) Recovery Week conducted over seven (7) consecutive weeks at Pretty Huge, SM Aura Premier, BGC.

Each race involves: functional fitness exercises across four (4) stations using weighted equipment (VIPRs, kettlebells, Bulgarian bags, battle ropes); running on an elevated indoor track; ascent and descent of a staircase between every station; and group heats of up to ten (10) participants per heat.

Physical Risks Include

• Muscle strains, sprains, tears, and overuse injuries
• Bone fractures and joint dislocations
• Spinal and back injuries
• Falls and impact injuries
• Cardiovascular events including heart attack and stroke
• Heat-related illness, dehydration, and exhaustion
• Loss of consciousness
• Permanent disability, paralysis, or death

Section II — Assumption of Risk

I confirm that I am participating voluntarily and with full knowledge of the nature and physical demands of fitness racing. I voluntarily and knowingly assume all risks associated with participation, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable, known or unknown.

I confirm I am in good physical health, have consulted a medical professional if I have concerns, and will reassess my fitness before each race day. I am not pregnant.

Section III — Release of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Metronome, its founders, officers, employees, contractors, agents, volunteers, marshals, the Race Director, Pretty Huge, partner organizations, sponsors, and all other persons or entities associated with the operation of Metronome from any and all claims arising from or related to my participation.

This release does not extend to gross negligence or willful misconduct of the Released Parties, or claims that cannot be waived under Philippine law.

Section IV — Medical Treatment and Costs

In the event of injury or emergency, I authorize Metronome to provide or arrange first aid and emergency medical care. I acknowledge that Metronome does not provide medical insurance. I am solely responsible for all costs of medical treatment arising from any injury sustained during my participation.

Section V — Media, Image, and Likeness

I grant Metronome an irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide right to use my image, likeness, voice, name, race results, and biographical information captured during my participation for marketing, editorial, social media, and broadcast purposes. I will not receive compensation for such use.

Section VI — No-Refund and Non-Transferability Policy

Metronome operates a strict no-refund policy. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances including injury, illness, withdrawal, disqualification, or personal scheduling conflicts. My registration is personal and non-transferable. I may not substitute another person in my place.

Section VII — Data Privacy

I consent to Metronome's collection and use of my personal data for administration of the season, leaderboards, participant profiles, and marketing. Metronome will handle my data in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012). My data may be shared with Pretty Huge and other directly involved partners.

Section VIII — General Provisions

This Waiver is governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute shall be brought before the courts of Taguig City, Metro Manila. I confirm I have read this Waiver in full and am signing voluntarily, without coercion.
